Face masks prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, such as influenza, and also help protect against pollutants and dust particles in the air. Wearing a face mask can significantly reduce the risk of contracting or spreading airborne viral infections, as they filter out droplets containing virus particles when someone talks, coughs or sneezes. By wearing a face mask, you are helping to protect yourself and others from potential exposure to dangerous virus particles.
Face Mask meltblown media is a type of nonwoven fabric composed of ultra-fine fibres used to make protective face masks. The material possesses properties that make it ideal for use in face masks, such as its breathability, lightness and filtration capability. GESSNER's NeenahGuard® & Delpore® media are able to filter out particles as small as 0.3 microns due to its intricate network of fibre layers. This makes it ideal for trapping droplets from coughs or sneezes, thus providing an effective barrier against the transmission of potentially harmful viruses and bacteria.
Our electrostatically charged Meltblown can reach efficiencies up to 99.95%.
Our portfolio ranges from FFP1 to FFP3 according to EN149 and we fulfil NIOSH 95 and 99. We have a high flexibility in composition of the media to offer the best solution for your process regardless if you are looking for a pleatable or non-pleatable media.
Our NeenahGuard® & Delpore™ media provide a very good breathability and are suitable for medical applications. Our single Meltblown layer is sufficient for filtration efficiency but also available as composite with spunbond.
