Filter media for waste water applications, are known as depth filters. These filters are typically a pleated filter or a bag style filter. Pleated filters contain a support material, pleated media, and end caps or cages to hold the filter in place. The pleated media is made from a variety of materials. The filter works by trapping particles as water flows through it. As water flows through the filter media particles are removed resulting in cleaner water.
GESSNER offers many different types of filter media depending on the application and desired level of filtration. Different filter ratings such as micron size rating or absolute rating can be used to ensure the needed level of filtration. Depending on your needs different grades of media can be used with finer grades able to achieve higher levels of filtration than coarser grades but at a higher cost due to increased pressure drop across the system and shorter lifespans due to clogging with smaller particles.
Delpore™ liquid meltblown nonwoven media offer both efficiency and dirt holding options for waste water filtration. The tiny pores within the media help to capture particles and contaminants down to 1 micron in size, which makes it an ideal solution for removing pollutants from water sources such as lakes, rivers, and streams. Our Delpore™ thermo-bonded meltblown nonwoven feature outstanding dirt holding capacity, allowing them to capture up to five times their own weight in solids before they must be replaced or cleaned. This makes them well-suited for use in municipal stormwater systems. In addition, the highly efficient design ensures that filter changes are quick and easy while providing high levels of performance.
Naltex™ pleat supports offer a reliable solution to keep pleats from blinding and maximizing the filter media performance. They are crucial for maintaining the structural integrity of the filter media, ensuring consistent performance even under high flow conditions. Enhanceing filtration efficiency by evenly distributing the flow across the entire surface, it prevents clogging and extends the lifespan of the filter. Additionally, pleat support allows for greater surface area within the filter element, increasing its capacity to trap contaminants and improving overall system reliability.
Conwed™ rigid tubes are ideal for wastewater applications, as they are specifically designed to resist abrasion, corrosion and other harsh chemical properties. Rigid tubes in wastewater filter elements provide essential support and maintain the structural integrity of the filtration system, ensuring consistent performance and longevity. They aid in the even distribution of water flow, preventing blockages and optimizing the overall filtration process.
Naltex™ sleeves provide a protective layer that enhances the durability and lifespan of the filtration media. They help in maintaining the alignment and spacing of the filter components, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency throughout the filtration process.
Our sleeves for waste water are available in various sizes and configurations to accommodate different size pipes and fittings. The advanced compression technology used by these products ensures that they are of the highest quality and remain secure even under high pressure.
