Tribo-Electric Nonwoven

 

Air Filters are vital components in keeping a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) unit in artificial respiratory systems running safely and without introducing pathogens into the airway and medical facemasks in general.

We offer a variety of highly efficient meltblown media, available in different polymers (PP, PBT, PA) options, available colored or as natural meltblown nonwoven. We design our meltblown grades to obtain BFE ratings of 99%+ whilst maintaining a low resistance to aid with breathability.  GESSNER's electrostatic coarse fibered filter media, Alphastar™, has similar efficiencies to our meltblown but has a 10X lower resistance due to the electrostatic effect and coarse fibers.

The adaptability of our filter media allows for further modifications such as slitting, corrugating, and pleating, making them perfectly suited for hygroscopic condenser humidifiers (HCH) and HME applications.

MELTBLOWN NONWOVEN

Alphastar™

 

Our Alphastar™ - tribo-electric nonwoven enhances air purification by using electrostatic energy to attract and trap airborne particles such as dust, smoke, pollen, and pet dander. These synthetic fibers are electrically charged, increasing the efficiency of pollutant capture with lower energy consumption compared to traditional non-electrostatic filters. Unlike other filters, its effectiveness remains consistent over time, also contributing to healthier indoor air quality by removing micron-sized particles and reducing airborne allergens and bacteria through an anti-bacterial coating.

Delpore™ thermal-bonded media utilizes a novel through-air bonding process where hot air melts the outer layers of Bicomponent fibers, creating a strong, reliable bond. This creates a material that surpasses traditional webbing in strength, durability, flexibility, and breathability. Its lightweight, cost-effective nature, combined with superior performance characteristics, makes it an ideal choice for various applications, including filtration media, acoustic insulation, and automotive interiors.

CELLULOSE NONWOVEN / PAPER

 

Our inclined and flat wire paper machines provide exceptional performance when it comes to producing technical special papers. With these machines, we can achieve weights of 18 – 250g/m² and air permeabilities of 1 – 2000 l/m²/s. This ensures that you have the perfect product for your needs every single time. Alongside selected cellulose fibres, we use synthetic, glass or carbon fibres to give further special properties. With creping technology, we can achieve different surface characteristics, from very fine to very rough crepe profiles, and with various stretch properties.
