High fire safety, full performance
Conventional flame-retardant impregnations often have downsides such as reduced service life, restricted air flow, or premature clogging of the filter media. We overcome these limitations with customized chemistry. Our impregnation is applied with precision and designed to blend seamlessly into the fiber structure:
- No increase in pressure drop
- No negative impact on dust holding capacity
- DIN53438, Part3 (F1) certified
- No toxic components
- Physical properties are retained even during prolonged operation
The result is a flame-retardant solution that enhances safety while maintaining the mechanical properties of the material throughout its service life.
Optimized for a wide range of applications
Our flame-retardant impregnation was originally developed for air intake filter media to prevent accidents such as the Mont Blanc tunnel fire. Regardless of the final filter application, our impregnation offers consistent filter performance along with flame retardancy. It is compatible with a variety of substrates, including cellulose, cellulose-polyester blends, cellulose-meltblown combinations.
Designed for reliability
With decades of experience in resin formulations, we ensure that every flame-retardant media is both safe and reliable. Our approach focuses not only on providing high flame resistance (DIN53438, Part3 (F1)), but also on ensuring that all filter functions are maintained – safety without compromise.
