TUBES, CORES, CAGES, SLEEVES, AND MACHINED PARTS

Coretec™, Naltex™, and Conwed™

The use of filter elements requires the combination of several components.
Cores are constructed using plastic mesh, which is used to provide an open surface area for trapping particulates as fluid passes through the element. Tubes are designed to house the core, helping to protect it from external forces and contaminates. Cages are then placed around the tube to help support the core while also providing additional structural integrity. Machined parts help form a tight seal between components, ensuring that no air or contaminants can bypass the filter. Each component plays an important role in helping maximize filtration performance and efficiency.

GESSNER'S FILTER COMPONENT SOLUTIONS

CONWED™ RIGID TUBES & CAGES

Our Conwed™ extruded rigid tube and Naltex™ extruded cage are manufactured through a single-step continuous extrusion process that yields a plastic material with integral joints. All of our extruded cylinder tubes have a square mesh netting configuration, and in comparison to seamed netting tubes, extruded cylinder tubes are stronger due to their consistent cylindrical shape, made in one single-step.

Extruded cylinder tubes are generally used to support, contain and separate. Most common applications are in filtration, where extruded cylinder tubes provide strength and rigidity to protect delicate filtration media. Our extruded tubes are manufactured following the same process as our extruded netting.

NALTEX™ EXTRUDED SLEEVES

Naltex™ extruded sleeves are an ideal solution for the exterior of the filter elements, as they feature a high-performance material that is resistant to abrasive and corrosive elements.

The sleeves provide secure fitting of the filter elements, ensuring optimal filtration performance. The sleeves are available with different properties such as temperature resistance, strength, corrosion resistance and others, depending on the choice of the polymer. Additionally, the sleeves are lightweight and easy to install. Naltex™ extruded sleeves are available in various sizes and lengths for a variety of applications. They provide a reliable and efficient solution for filter element replacement while minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.

CORETEC™ TUBING & CORETEC™ MACHINED PARTS

Coretec™ Machined Parts & Tubing are engineered to meet challenging customer requirements, including resistance to extreme temperatures, chemicals, moisture, and high-performance demands.

These machined parts can seamlessly be incorporated with other superior netting and nonwoven materials from GESSNER to deliver complete, top-quality products that offer turn-key solutions for diverse applications.

One prominent use of our Coretec™ products is within Reverse Osmosis Filter Elements. This showcases their versatility and capacity to perform in demanding environments, while ensuring optimal functionality and longevity. With Coretec™, you're not just investing in a product, but a promise of outstanding performance and reliability.

Discussing the Origins of Conwed™ rigid tubes, Coretec™ tubing & machined parts, and Naltex™ extruded sleeves

Historically, our cores, tubes, machined parts, and sleeves were supplied by corporations such as SWM International, DelStar Technologies, and Conwed. However, following the 2022 merger of SWM & Neenah to become Mativ, these materials have now become products under the GESSNER umbrella, a brand of Mativ.
